From A to Z with Father Zbigniew

From A to Z with Father Zbigniew - May 31, 2026

Spring is certainly a whirlwind of activity with First Communions, May crownings and at St. Barbara the visit of our Archbishop for the Sacrament of Confirmation and the dedication of the church as a Chapel of St. Pio of Pietrelcina! And now, Memorial Day has come and with it the beginning of the Summer season.

Please say a prayer for the millions of people who have laid down their lives for our freedoms and the freedoms of people all over the world, not just on Memorial Day, but every day.

Please say a prayer for me too as I give thanks to God on May 29th for 43 years of ministry to His people. Your prayers are what sustains us.

I don’t know where all these years went but I do know that there is still work to do. Recently when we met at St. Alphonsus a gentleman made an excellent point that Catholics are not brought up to RAISE THEIR VOICES about Jesus. (Can I get an Amen?) It is time we change that! It is time for us, each of us, to raise our voices in the morning, at noon and at night about the goodness of God and the importance of our faith and the church. Be a broken record. You may not know who will hear you but someone will. And you will have a hand in growing His church because you did not stay silent! God bless us.

 Father Zbigniew, Administrator
