The Society of St. Vincent de Paul

SVDP is a Catholic lay organization founded in Paris by Blessed Frederick Ozanam in 1833 and is moved by the spirit. It is still a strong force to this day - no work of charity is foreign to the Society and it shows no discrimination. Anyone and everyone can be involved, and there are many ways in which to participate. The vocation of the society's members, who are called Vincentians, is to follow Christ through service to those in need and to bear witness to his compassionate and liberating love. Members show their commitment through person to person contact. Members meet once a month in Fr. Yagley Hall to share friendship, explore a deeper sense of spirituality, and discuss how we can best help our neighbors in need. We review the month's activities and make plans to visit those who have requested our assistance. Home visits are a key aspect of the St. Vincent de Paul Society that sets us apart from other charitable organizations. Frederick Ozanam believed in meeting people where they live, and providing personal, face-to-face support. Today, over 800,000 SVDP members all over the world carry on this tradition as part of our mission of service. We see doing home visits as a vocation, and the blessings we receive far outweigh our efforts. Our greatest joy is to see the face of Christ in those we meet. The Society is in need of volunteers who are willing to show that the Spirit is alive and well. You can put to good use your Catholic values while helping those within our community. Your rewards will be great, and God's eyes are upon you. Please join us to learn more about our fellowship, spirituality and community service! Meetings are held on Monday evenings in Fr. Yagley Hall following the 6:30 rosary.

Ushers Group

Ushers meet, greet and seat parishioners and guests at the weekend Masses as well as serving the needs of the assembly during Mass, assist in bringing up the gifts and collecting the offertory envelopes. If you are an accommodating person, this ministry may be right for you.

Ladies in Faith Together Sodality (LIFT)

As sisters in Christ, it is our mission to support one another in passionate prayers; especially through the rosary and other spiritual opportunities, and to assist the parish in social activities, thus becoming the foundation of spiritual life within our families, the parish, and the community. Meetings, held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in Fr. Yagley Hall, are open to all women.
